It was a dark and stormy night.

No, not really.  Well, it is storming, but thats beside the point.  5/17/12 at 10:08 PM, I finally stopped putting it off and started a blog.

It will not always be interesting.

You will not always agree with me.

It will not always be funny.

It will not always be 100% coherent.

You will not always care about the content.

It will not always have to do with natural living or intuitive parenting, but the majority of it will.

Most of the time, it will be marginally humorous.

Most of the time, I will post everyday.  (Thats the humor I was referring to.  See?  Marginal.)

Most of the time, I will have a baby on my boob, lap, or tugging at some body part while writing this, so most of the time, I will need minor mistakes forgiven.

Most of the time, I will be fairly opinionated.

Most of the time, it will be light hearted.

It will always be passionate.

It will always be about being a mother in some fashion.

It will always be current and relevant.

It will always be introspective.
I hope it becomes a resource for mothers on a whole slew of subjects and I dearly hope it helps someone, somewhere, in some way.

I’m Ashley, stay at home mom to L and S who are 3 and 1 respectively.  Bun will be here sometime around Christmas or New Years Eve.  I’ve been hitched for 1.5 years now after proposing to C in Panera while pregnant with S.  I am beginning classes after Bun is born to start working towards my IBCLC certification.  I will also be starting a Doula certification with DONA around that time as well as placenta encapsulation training with PBi.  Thats career crap.  Hobby wise, I love to sew, read, sleep, clean, drink wine and run.  I am planning an Unassisted Childbirth after two hospital births with the support of my husband and two doulas, C and A.  I have a great online support system, an awesome birth photographer and a great placenta specialist.  For now, the majority of this blog will be documenting my UC  journey and my commitment to learn and write about ONE new piece of information concerning natural child birth, labor, and neonate care each day.  I might get all crazy and post about something else, so don’t go anywhere if you don’t care to hear about that crap.

Until tomorrow 🙂
